I think I’m pretty mature for my age but I still appreciate cute stuff

How is it somehow "wrong" at a certain age, to not just love being able to relax, and just hold some soft, cuddly "Friend" that NEVER JUDGES you, NEVER COMPLAINS that you don't pay enough attention, or that YOU DON'T LISTEN, and so on, but that SOFT, CUDDLY ONE, IS ALWAYS THERE, NO MATTER WHAT!!
When you are older, and an "Adult" they can be SOOOOOO much better than a person, for a short time, between relationships, as they are always there for you, and you can squish them, or roll over on them, as you sleep, and they don't even care, when you are sick!
Sometimes, between real relationships, what's so wrong with just cuddling with a dear, trusted friend, whatever age you are?

Think nothing of it. I have several, much larger than those. AS a state employee, we have activities to raise money for charities at different times of the year. One girl brought in large stuffed animals and we had a 'circus' theme one year.

I got the bright idea of how those large stuffed animals added some conversation appeal to my home. I have a 'huge' bear in the front bay window, and a HUGE Snow leopard in the bedroom bay window. Beautiful to see from the outside. My neighbor kids love them and I bought two even bigger one for the kids, and the mom and dad loved it.
Nice to look at and adds some different look to the place and looks soft and friendly'

NO... I mean I bought my girl friend a Tigger stuffed toy and replaces all the stuffing in his tail nice powerful Vibrator. She had a girls night away from everything to have a good time with the girls on her birth day of course I took apart Tiggers tail and put in the vibrator and put him back in the display box with everything sown back together/glued. Sure enough she started to open gifts with her friends she noticed something was wrong with Tigger's tail.. Yeah she was embarrassed but at the same time it was funny so every time she pushes Tigger's stomach he makes some funny remark. Got some good compliments from her friends that felt good. They love these kind of things.
So every time she sleeps with her Tigger stuffed toy I know she is enjoying my gift to her as I tend to help her with it's deployment. So you know you are not alone in the stuff toy area.

Not really. I have friends, both girls and boys who are around 25 and still owns stuff toys. Even i want to have one, a big one actually, who i can cuddle while sleeping. Currently, i make do it with my pillow.

So yeah, it's not immature for a grown woman to have stuffed animals.

I wouldn't think so. Until a year and a half ago, I still had a stuffed monkey I got when I was a baby and a stuffed tiger that belonged to mom when she was little. Thanks to my evil, greedy ex-sisters, those things, and TONS of others, are now gone forever!!

If you're really 19 I still consider that to be pretty normal.

I think it's a real shame people toss away things they still like because they think it's immature.

I still have some of the toys and collectibles I played with as a kid. Just holding on for nostalgia and also because it might become very valuable in the future.

I mean look at pokemon cards. I did not expect some of the old cards to be worth so much.

I live in southeast Asia and a woman there mentioned owning dolls. I politely (in the context of cultural sharing) told her that in America dolls are considered things for little girls not adult women. Pretty immature yes. Most people would put their precious stuffed toys they don’t want to throw out in a box in a cupboard.
with that said you don’t have to be like most people. You can have your stuffed toys. You can do what you want. But yes there is clearly an element of you still clinging onto the comfort of being a child still.

I generally dislike and mistrust anyone who doesn't own at least one stuffed animal, name their stuffed animals, and talk to them at least occasionally. I like it better if the stuffed animal has a distinct personality which can be readily discerned from the owner's interactions with it.

It's a thin line. If you're entire room is decorated with stuffed animals and you actually spend time talking to them then yeah it's immature. But if you just own a few that don't mean much to you appart from looking cute then no it's perfectly fine
