Silence after a kiss?

So I have been friends with a girl for a very long time. We have been hanging out quite a bit lately, and on Monday before she went home we hugged, I gave her a kiss on the cheek, and then she kissed me. I thought I was very deep in the friend zone, but this has confused me. I did feel some tension between us for a while though.

Since then she sent me a few messages on Tuesday, but nothing really important and then stopped responding completely. She has been silent ever since.

What do I make of this, or how do I handle this further?

Maybe she regret what happened because is afraid to ruin the friendship.

One of the reasons I thought of as well, but then she should just talk to me about it so we can resolve that. Also, since she initiated the kiss, even if it was a small one, I'd guess she was aware of the fact that things wouldn't be 100% the same anymore

That is why i dont believe in friendship between male and female. Ok! I just dont. At some point one of the two will feel attracted. It happens all the time.

I don't believe in it either to be honest... I've had a crush on her when we first met, but then nothing came of it because of other relationships both on her side and mine, but now we are both single, and I do feel some tensions since I've become single.

Any tips on how to proceed?

Well the friendship won't be the same. So why dont you try with her a relationship? Talk with her about it. Get to know each other more but in a plan more than just friends..

I'd like to try, but it's hard when she has gone silent... I think it's better to leave her alone for a while, because I don't want to rush anything and certainly not pressure her into anything

🙄 Mostly of times givin space and waiting its not good idea we take it as lack of interest. But hey who knows... We are so complicated and different. I dont know if she also thinks like that.

Well I sent her a snap yesterday, and replied to hers when she sent one on Tuesday and Wednesday, but she never responds anymore, so to me that's a sign she doesn't really want to talk to me
