Any reason she kept saying saying nice meeting you?

In short I was talking to this girl and she kept repeating "It was nice meeting you" She said it when we first met then midway through a conversation and as I was leaving she said it again. Maybe she forgot she said it but she said it multiple times within a few minutes. Why does she keep saying that? Did she forget she told me that?

She’s either nervous or she could be trying to get out of the conversation and doesn’t know how to say it.
