Girls, Is this normal ladies?

so this girl (21) and I (27) have been talking for a while (2 years) I still have no idea what we are and we have gotten coffee, dinner and drinks and drinks after we hung out once. She wants to go to a soccer game this year as well, plus do other things together. Things seemed to be going well, she even said that she needs to be there for me more like I am for her. I’m on the verge of asking her out but I got a weird message sorta out of the blue from her. This week has been a little strange.
Her message said “been mia taking a break from phone for a bit” “
chat soon ! and have a goodnight

now a few things to keep in mind. She is busy as can be, she’s does acting on the side and works 2 jobs. next week she starts back to school and one of her other jobs ends. Now, I think she needs some time to get back into the swing of things for school. This isn’t unusual, but the way it happened was unusual. Because she has done this thing before in a way this time just way more direct. It’s online and she lives at home. I don’t know what I could have done wrong…literally was going to ask her out Monday.

is it a bad idea after a few days to have her adjust then just ask to talk? Or however you would about saying it…not sure I’m 0-5 on asking people out 😂.
she also randomly brought up last week about how she may not be ready for a relationship because of how busy she is…Very out there, just through that out there

From the looks of it she does seem super busy and she might not have enough time to nurture a relationship. I suggest you should wait until things settle down a bit (school and all) then have a conversation with her about your and her expectations

I would suggest to avoid asking about “what are we” but rather ask “where do you see this going?” So you can go like hey I’ve known you for a long time now and I like having you in my life so I was just wondering where do you see this going just so that I know what my role is and what to expect from you.

But since she’s super busy make sure that you’re also willing to not be the top priority for her at all times - this is something that you might want to consider. Are you sure you want a relationship with someone whose plate is already so full? If she’s not willing to make room for you then I feel like you should walk away

Well another update…. she said i just was looking at screen time analytics and it says most of my time is on text and it's like two hours a day and i have to cut that back.
so if i text less so a day or every other this is why. learning some new balances of things as i go into this school year.

So she literally was talking about taking a break from her phone…wow I feel dumb but also the advice is helpful
