Girl stops responding?

So me and this girl were hitting it off in the DM's for about 5 days straight. She all of a sudden just stopped responding and now its on the second day. Does this mean she is no longer interested or should I give it more time. Should I send her something random to see if she then reads it?

It was on IG, a friend was trying to connect the two of us. Now it looks like I screwed it up as she kinda broke it off saying she is too busy with work. I believe it was because I responded to one of her stories saying "she looked beutiful" and it may not have been the right place and the right time. After sleeping over it I feel like I should apologize and see if she is willing to accept my mistake and start talking again. You think thats a good idea?

@asker It never hurts to apologize. What is the worst that can happen? You are just right back where you are. The question is how to best go about it without looking clingy. I would just say something like I really didn’t mean any offense with my comment and see what happens.
