I don't think femininity and masculinity should be thought of in terms of tendencies so much as ideals. Otherwise, we might as well say that being a violent criminal makes men more "masculine" since men are overrepresented in that area.

I chose no, because although insecurity goes along with most submissive and feminine traits, it can be just as feminine for a woman to be confident. I don't think either one can be considered an indicator of, or increase her femininity. That depends on other things.
