depends on who's asking. it's worth a shot. for instance, i really like some guy that is in a serious relationship. how unfortunate for me. i do sometimes day dream that he'll ask me out one day, but it'll probably remain a dream. i am a bit fed up. i think i will grow a pair of balls one day and just go up to a guy i like and ask him out because if i keep waiting for a guy to come to me i will probably die alone. all the men i like all seem to be taken. the only ones left are the fat ones or the bald ones or the ones who drink alcohol the way most people drink water. you should probably hurry up with asking her out, because if she's in a similar situation like me (i. e. fed up with being single and sad and lonely and worrying about dying alone and constantly seeing couples making out everywhere, she'll probably just start putting up flyers with "boyfriend needed. interested applicants please send resumes to this email address by October 15th.")

I wouldn't just ask osmeone out that I haven't been in contact with. Not unless it's as friends. So I guess maybe if you just wanna catch up.. but nothing it's a date. Thatd be kind of weird
