Strictly speaking it is today more feasible to replace the woman's part than the man's when it comes to having children.
We also can not entirely replace either. But my point is that you could argue for either gender based on your line of reasoning, it is inherently flawed.

I would also point out that someone's ability to procreate shouldn't determine the amount of respect and human decency they deserve. What would we do with someone infertile?

We should respect each other for simple self-interest. Respect begets respect which makes things better for all.

Because they are human beings. If inability to give birth is a reason not to respect someone, then no one should respect Dr. King... or half of the population of humanity who ever lived, is currently alive, or ever will live.

But men make the women pregnant and if a man did not make a woman pregnant she won't give birth. So my conclusion is respect people who deserve respect not bunch of women claiming they need respect because they give birth.
