Do you think it was rude of this girl to tell me to mind my own business when I was trying to give her helpful advice?

I will admit and be honest though this girl never did ask me for advice in the first place

but anyway I told this girl who I go to university with she should stop trying to straighten her hair so much otherwise she might damage it

She than said to me “Mind your own business.”

I was trying to give her helpful advice though. It is a fact straightening hair too much isn’t good. I thought I was being helpful towards her

I think she has a persecution complex, maybe from previous bullies. I knew two girls from church who accused me of making fun of them when I meant no harm, one girl had a foreign name I could not pronounce or remember and she thought I was trying to humiliate her because I kept getting her name wrong,

On a surface level: yes, she could’ve said something differently. However, we don’t know how she was interpreting your advice. Maybe she got offended or thought you were being catty or sarcastic. People tend to overthink things and/or get offended by things that were never meant to be offensive in the first place. Regardless, I would be done thinking about that if I were you and not taking it personally. You know that your advice was coming from a genuine place and that’s what matters. ❤️

I mean yeah, there's nicer ways to tell someone to mind their business.. she could've just been like "I'll keep that in mind" or something.. but I wouldn't take it to heart if I were you; not worth worrying yourself over 🙂
