What causes a girl to act a little awkward around you?

We have gotten along so well at work and we would always talk. For some reason she is acting a little awkward around me. It's making me nervous to talk to her suddenly. I end up literally freezing cause I feel conversation gets awkward. Nothing bad has happened between us and there is no history other than we talk at work.

Honestly, me personally and I know a lot of girls that are similar, awkwardness is often due to self reservation. They are being more reserved around you, because they are cautious about acting stupidly or embarrassing themselves perhaps. This is often something that fades with time. Maybe help make her more comfortable. Act a bit silly around her and she’ll do the same - she will stop assessing her every move and how you perceive her as much. Hope that helps :)

Maybe it is not that then, my emphasis was more so on the fact that when people are awkward, it is often because they are being very self aware. Self awareness if often to avoid embarrassing oneself. Therefore they are probably avoiding this because they value your opinion of them.

I would say so. It happened to me millions of times. I try to see how she acts when I become distant. I catch girls looking at me when im not looking and look away when I notice. I would try to break the ice

I see her at work. As she is a co worker. But she isn't there often. I've only ever be nice to her and we usually talk. It's like we get tongue tied like suddenly we don't know what to say to each other
