How to comfort your girlfriend when she's upset?

My wife's great aunt passed away this morning we'll be going to her grandmother's for the funeral. This week is also gonna be the 2 year anniversary of her ex husband's death it's gonna be a tough week for her. How can I comfort her? What should I say to he?

You don't need to say too much.
You're 20 and married? Well whatever the age and status, just be there for her, both in body and in spirit, and remind her of the good memories. It's not the time to dwell on the negative. Allow for positive reverie.

You don't need to say anything in particular and there is nothing that you can do that wll bring her any cheer. Just hold her hand, tell her you are there for her, hug her, and don't be afraid to cry with her if that is how you feel.
