Girls, Should I stay with a girl who has beaten me?

So, I’m 27 years old and this is my first relationship, I was a little bit angry with something and we were arguing, at some point i just said that I don’t agree with what she says, she stopped talking and slapped me in the face, I was shocked, I said what the f*** ? (She’s generally very calm), she gave me some more hits in the shoulder and back, (i didn’t touch her at all I was just protecting my head with my hands).
Yesterday she called me and she said she’s sorry and she cried, I saw that she really feels guilty, I love her and I can forgive what she did but I don’t want that thing to happen again, should I stay with her?

This is a hard situation. I’m really sorry she did this to you and I hope you’re okay.

If you love her and want to make it work, don’t feel ashamed for staying. But don’t allow it to be normal straightaway. Let her see that what she has done will not be tolerated. Maybe give her the silent treatment or avoid her for awhile. This was send a clear message that you will not stand for it and that it can’t happen again. Once you finally do address this, make it clear that you forgive her and want to continue as normal, but that if it happens again then that will be the end. I wish someone had told me this. It would’ve saved me a lot of hurt.

If it does happen again, please leave. It will not stop no matter how much she says she feels guilty.

No never please don't. She should of never put her hands on you as you should never do to her. Even if she says "I'll change" she won't. She's probably a narcissist darling. Maybe she should go to classes to work on her anger but if she doesn't want to or that her behavior doesn't change I'd say leave. You may regret it when your older & life is too short. There is someone out there willing to truly treat u better.

Absolutely not! I understand that you love her, but nothing excuses physically hurting someone. If she can do it once, she can do it again. I'm so sorry that this happened to you, but the best thing to do is leave (in my opinion).

I was blaming her about something regarding her courses, she started to say that I don’t mind about her courses and I’m just looking to piss her off, I tried to answer her but she kept talking constantly and didn’t allow me to respond, so I started to repeat « no, that’s not true, no that’s not true... », she raised her voice then slapped me in the face.

So she's taking courses, I see. She might have been really tensed from the courses and maybe it was taking a toll on her. Seems like she might have hit you out of anger and frustration since you both were talking at the same time. Of course, I'm not trying to justify her hitting you, but from what you described it all just happened so fast.

She did call and apologize to you and if she sounded genuine, you could possibly consider giving her a second chance. Although, if you do plan to, it would be best to let her known that she is to never lay her hands on you again and tell her how you felt about it.

However, if it made you very mad that she laid her hands on you, it would be best to leave her. The relationship is soured at the moment and nobody deserves to be hit. Personally, I would not go back, but again, this is your relationship so I'll let you make your own choice. Best of luck!

i agree totally, plus if this kind of thing become normal in a couple, it could be really dangerous because they are often alone without anybody to separate them and an angry person can do anything...
