How old are these girls if I might inquire? The younger ones are scurred more often then not in my experience. If things get challenging in the conversations they like a quick and easy out. LOL at the anon who said they can text "10 other people". Yes because some if not most are other guys they're also probably going to hit up through the month and sleep with other than you lol. Ah modern dating in a nutshell. Also um... dont judge her for her past and also still be willing to cater to her every need despite being a prostitute basically. XD

It depends on who you talk to but often I've found the guys who want to talk on the phone don't know what to talk about and just sit there silent lol texting definitely allows you to do other things. Even with my husband we never talk on the phone really. It's mostly through texting because he's around others most often. Most often something shouldn't be said on the phone aloud anyways as I send the weirdest shit to him.

We can do 10 other things while we're texting (or text with 10 other people). Phone calls just use up time and guys never want to hang up.

Personally I am not a fan of talking on the phone because conversations last too long and I don't want to burn through money on calls, messaging is better if you want long conversations whereas if you want a short important discussion that you don't want or don't believe it needs to be written down or visible then you make a call.

I also find calls uncomfortable as I worry about how loud my voice may be on their speaker of their phone, so I often speak rather quietly when receiving calls and people ask me to speak up but then other times depending on the persons phone they ask me to speak more quietly, it is tiresome -__-

I think girls and maybe also guys like whatsapp for the fact it is a platform that offers messaging and calls that, to my knowledge won't cost money if you have data or wifi in the area, therefore it is a way of saving a lot of money when communicating in some peoples eyes supposedly.

As for anything related to dating, I have no clue, all I know is that both guys and girls I know have said they considered it convenient for the fact they can make these calls using college Wi-fi or their data, which makes them more comfortable than paying loads for frequent calls or messages on SMS on the phone.

There is also the fact that there are a lot of emoji or stickers features that can be used on Whatsapp that cannot be used on the SMS service, along with the fact that sending a photo in SMS would typically cost a lot whereas on whatsapp it is easy to upload loads of them for no problem, that can also be a reason they like it.

I rarely chat on the phone and just WhatsApp stuff

it’s just so easier and means I’m not disturbing people etc

its also just great for group stuff as well

Also I can say stuff in a text or WhatsApp that I definitely can’t say with people around me lol.

I think it has to do with schedule and lifestyle, like my schedule is busy and all over the place most of the time and so it's easier to send a text and here and there than make time for a phone call.

In my experience all women want to do is talk on the phone instead of text. I HATE talking on the phone or on any app that allows calls. Or video chat too. They just “don’t want to be alone” 😂 women gotta learn to be alone.

That's definitely not universal. I know several women, including my SO, who hate to text and almost always call on the phone. I personally prefer a mix of text, email and phone call for communications.
