So basically I was really good friends with this girl for about 6 months platonically that I met on instagram. Due to conflicting schedules and locations, we never really met. Although every now and then I flirted, the friendship was platonic. But recently I felt we started drifting. She has done some strange things recently that have annoyed me that I didn't mention, Like, one time we were having a conversation (replying to each other every hour or so) and they just left me on delivered for 2 days. When they got back and I asked them about it they said that they deleted it because they wanted to detox from social media and that I should have messaged them on sms or snap.
But like, why didn't they tell me before?
My real question comes here: I posted a story recently with me at a wrestling show and they replied asking if I was gonna fight as a joke. I started a conversation out of this since we hadn't had a convo in a while and sent them a video of something there. They responded and laughed. So I sent another thing I wanted to show them since we often used to show each other everything in the past. They ended up not responding that night, but 2 days later. Im not going to lie, that hurt a lot because it shows that they do not really care about my life much while i care more about theirs. And I have always been an extremely supportive friend. So when they responded the conversation was as follows:
Me: "breh what's that reply game. Whats the point of responding after 2 days and pretending like your care lmao"
Her: I dont be going on ig a lot but ok?
Me: Alright
Her: Alright
I may have overreacted, but I was really shocked that they did not care that I was not hurt. They did not even try to find out why or explain themselves properly because I know they live on ig. My friends told me that its most likely that she really just does not care because she would have tried to explain better if she did. What are your opinions?
Their carelessness hurt a lot here.
