Girls, Jumped in to fast?

So I've been dating this girl for a bit now. She's wonderful and well she says how much she loves me. I love her too. But she became distant all of a sudden. I asked her what was wrong and she said it was her period. Then I get a text saying that I'm a nice, considerate and wonderful guy but she jumped in to quickly. That her scars from her ex haunt her. That she may need therapy. But wants to remain friends.

I don't know how to act. I love her and it's hard to see her and she wants to talk about silly things. But not see me outside of friend gatherings.

I'd advice you to refrain being in the friend zone. Ask her out on dates but don't let yourself become a "friend" as you might get "stuck" in that zone.

What’s the worst that could happen? Just be her friend and stop reacting to everything she says. She’ll see how unfazed you are and find you attractive again. Happened with me and my ex before.
