It stems from a deep-rooted insecurity so therefore showing cleavage is seeking validation from society in order to feel pretty. So they basically depend their overall self-perception and confidence levels more on external validation than your average person. A lot of these women either had no father in their lives or their fathers didn't give them true masculine love and guidance.

You will find many women claim it is "confidence" to be wearings something like that. This is what we call wishful thinking or in this case, the fake it until you make it mentality. Yes, women may feel 'confident' to show their cleavage, that's just a biased half-truth they give you. They may feel "confident" showing their cleavage to the world, but to WHY they do it is far from something we call confidence. A true confident woman does not feel the need to show off her assets in order to gain a confidence boost.
