Girls, would you at all get upset if a guy asks for proof that you are real on a dating app?

Unfortunately guys have to deal with all sorts of bs on dating apps. Scammers know the odds are against us and they try to prey on lonely men.

It used to be easy to identify a fake profile. It was usually a too good to be true hot girl who uncharacteristically acts immediately interested. They usually bring up sex/hooking up early. Real women even women who really are looking for a hook up never bring it up first.

But nowadays I have gotten messages that are much more sophisticated. It’s usually from an attractive woman who is acting a bit stand offish. “She” also says she wants to get to know someone before meeting and emulated a typical female. They don’t mention sex. However (this happened twice) these women are usually “visiting from another country” and they can only use WhatsApp. They never have pics that show surroundings of the City/state they claim to live in. They also use very vague language to describe the área they are living.

Anyway I am talking to a girl who I suspect might be fake. I want proof she is who she says she is without potentially ruining it if she is real. Any advice?

If u have been talking to her for a while ask her to facetime if she's fake she'll probably reject and if u really suspicious about her and you're feeling that she's lying thanks just follow your sense

Im guessing fake because she doesn’t want to talk over the phone. I also asked her to take a pic with familiar scenery (where I have had an iconic mountain range). She said she doesn’t want to do it.

But I got this lingering second thought feeling that some girls (real ones) are so paranoid they won’t even have a brief phone call with a guy. Especially if he’s older (I’m 12 years older). I’m willing to be patient if I know for sure she exists.

Iiidk of that's a good reason I'm a girl and if someone i know asked me for a pic it's not that big deal even a call and for the age thing if ur sure that she cares about it too much than no matter how much u like her she's not the one and trust me dating older guys is the best thing ever talking from experience so even u don't think that could be a negative thing

The way she communicated with me was absolutely typical female behavior. Wants to chit chat about everything but doesn’t bring up sex. Nowadays i rarely bring up sex. I’m not 24 anymore. I have to be very careful about the creep vibe.

But the fact that’s she’s “visiting” from another country and can only use WhatsApp seems plausible but also very convenient for a scammer.
