Why are so many girls/women attracted to bad boys?

Please don’t come on here with the bs I have 2 older sisters I’ve seen it first hand. One has 2 kids by a “bad boy” and the other is about to graduate college. So I don’t think it defines the women as a whole who she dated necessarily but I feel like most women have dated a bad boy/fuck boy at some point in their life. And I’ve definitely seen a lot of women give bad boy sex while making other guys wait or take them out lol I’m trying to get a better understanding I’ve literally seen women be in relationships with the nice guy while cheating with her “bad boy” ex like WTF I honestly don’t think a lot of women are attracted to respectful, kind men in their youth. And for some women bad boys are just their type I guess.

I think physical attraction is the driving factor along with the carefree attitude.
The reason I say that is because I was in a relationship with a "Bad Girl" when I was younger. She was so hot that I didn't care what a total brat she was sometimes.
It actually started to make me want to earn her love because she was so difficult.
After going through enough problems with her over the years I learned to date women who were a lot nicer. I was blinded by the Bad Girl's hotness and she put me through hell. I have a feeling that the women who go for Bad Boys have a similar experience.
