Why are women so enamored with bad boys?

When they essentially win the approval of most guys, by default, for simply being a good looking female, they don’t get it from the bad boys… they have to go out of their way to win their approval, and because of that, it’s a challenge they don’t typically see.

It's stupid because the bad boy type often times don’t care about anything, not even themselves, so it’s just a dead-end conquest for women, but their ego can’t take it… they must be appreciated by everyone, so they pursue the people that don’t bend over backwards for them. They are attracted to the challenge, not the guy himself.

Have you seen some of these guys some good looking women date? They look like grease balls, like a fricken greasy rat. And they have visible issues. Drug addiction, family problems, etc. Covered in tattoos/piercings. It makes no sense why women would actually be attracted to them, aside from something in their personality, a masculine aura, or a seeming sense of confidence, and seeing them as a challenge. That’s it.

Again, it’s a dead-end conquest. They want to be the one that fixes him. Good luck with that. It’s pretty narcissistic tbh.

I think bad boys are good at pretending to be good. They are charming at first and know what to say to seduce a woman. All the men I've been with have been bad for me and narcissistic. I reflect what attracted me to them and I think it's that they were very forward or "love bombing" or faking about the future, and they demonstrated something they were not at first, but there were signs. Signs like acting hot and cold or distancing themselves and claiming they are busy. Gaslighting you that everything is okay when you can clearly see they are flirting or checking out other girls. They might use their power, looks, status, or they seek out women with low self-esteem if they don't got anything going for them. Bad guys are good at creating that good chemistry that makes it intoxicated and addictive. As I'm older now I realize that is not healthy. I think good guys are out there, but hard to find maybe because they are taken already or not as forward. They are calmness. I hope to find a God-fearing good man. I think good guys also have a hard time finding good girls because they also get intoxicated by the bad girls.

I expect I am boring in resorting to bio ethics or evolutionary pyschology to explain a lot of human behavior but it does. Homo sapiens arose arose 1 million years ago and beyond doubt life would have been more brutish back then.

Even today, women want to feel protected by their man. I argue it stems from that. Being the tribal bad boy's girl would enable her to take more than her share of the kangaroo to eat.

I've seen this. There was a girl smoking in a shop and very obviously deliberately ashing on the carpet. If she was by herself she would have been thrown out. The reason she wasn't, was there was a guy with her who had a box knife in his hand with the blade out.

She was transparently getting off on that nobody was rebuking her because of the guy she was with. Life is more exciting with a bad boy I guess.

Some girls will try to get you into fights with other guys as well. Girls can be quite primal.

Women being enamored with bad boys has probably to do with a sadly very outdated prehistoric instinct in the human species. This is only about primitive survival instinct: only the strongest one wins the female (nothing to do with good or bad morality !), precisely as in the other animal world, where this behaviour can't be outdated.

No doubt, we all, as humans, should meditate this excellent question, and ask our selves whether we're really up to live in a more socially organised democratic society, where values are not based on only non disciplined physical strenght.

Depends on her upbringing and the stage in her life. I know for me we like someone unconsciously that represent a father figure. Some fathers were absent, narrassistic and or not emotionally available..

Bad Boys bring out the Bad Girl within us. Some women like the chase, the adventure, the unknown, the excitement. Some women reflect, grow, and mature and realize they want a good man who will be genuine and loyal to her.

Bad Boys aka Alpha Males, are self dependent. They are far less likely to chase women or play to them to get approval or sex. Examples are US Marines, Motorcycle Bands and, often, First Responders. They are self validating.

When we forego our independence, we become domesticated, our gloss wears off and they look for new Alphas. Their Alphas cannot be non-self supporting. There’s a reason behind it! Every girl wants to be treated well by her boyfriend/partner, there is also a reverse psychology that plays important role.
Usually the guys who care less are admired more by women, but this isn’t a healthy way to attract a girl.
