Just knowing there is no future would be enough for me to get over it. However, if you are looking for ways to move on, I suggest taking up a new hobby, exercising, leaning on family/friends, etc.

It is all about keeping the mind busy. Those will help distract but only time will really work to get over him.

Keep busy. Distractions help to move on from someone. If you have them on social media, I would block them. This slightly relieves the temptation to search up their account. Good luck to you!
