Why can't I forget my crush?

It's been 6 months since I've seen him and I still can't seem to get him off my mind. I'm doing every possible thing to forget him ... I'm dating other guys,I'm trying not to think about him but nothing is really helping. Some days I pretend that I don't think about him :S am I crazy for feeling this way? just for a crush? although I felt that we had something special going on.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Haven't seen him for a long time and time and distance definitely help, but then every time there's any contact (we're friends) I'm back to square one feeling just like I did all those months before, unable to concentrate and function properly. It's ridiculous really but I still can't help it.

Yeah, it is tough dealing with those feelings, but are you sure you don't have a shot with him? I guess it's even harder for you to forget him when he is your friend. Mine is just a crush and I have a hard time forgetting him, there is not a day that goes by without me thinking about him and I haven't seen him for 6 months. I guess some people are just special and won't leave our minds.

I've experienced this; well, haha, I'm actually still going through it. You'll never fully get rid of the memeory of him because there was such a strong attraction that it left a major life long impression in your brain. I still think about mine, but way less. It'll take some major time. You're not crazy. =)

thank you for your reply :) I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feel pretty stupid for thinking about this guy most of the time and sometimes (oh lord I'm ashamed to say this) I think it was meant to be and that's why I can't forget him ... ughh ...

naw you're not crazy it jus sometimes takes a long time to forget about someone you like unfortunately...try to keep doin different things the way you have been and it should be easier eventually

I have this special person and I have to let go him 2 months ago for my friends happiness. people around me did not know how badly hurt i am. I loved him 3 years but I have to cut ties because my friend have a crush on him.. it's kinda sad though knowing I had to choose between her happiness or my happiness. But in the end of the day, I choose her happiness over mine. I so loved that man that I can't have any other crushes. My other friends keep telling me to move on.. but I just can't.. I miss his habits. That man has the same feelings for me I mean we could become a couple if we were to choose.. but not. I don't know I feel so sad.. was my decision right? I don't know..
