At what age did you start to feel old and what were the signs?

I started graying prematurely. I never developed baldness, but in my 30s I had a refined-looking graying pattern at my temples.

Age 37-38 was an absolute peak for sexuality. Having amazing sex at least two or three times a day and sometimes for hours at a time without pause was beyond what I had previously imagined. That girl was a treasure beyond compare. She made me feel like a god. I had had girlfriends from the age of 16, but never had sex like that before.

I was still at my peak through my 40s. My 50th birthday felt like a mile stone but I was still pretty happening.

I have always been healthy, so I didn't "feel" old. The only thing that made me feel old was the attitudes of some younger people. Some people in their teens and twenties have such immature attitudes about age. But I was like that, so I get it. I remember when I thought that anyone over 30 was old.

The ability to get "senior" discounts after age 55 was a reality check.

When I hit 60 I finally had to come to terms with being an old guy. 60 felt symbolic.

Even though I was the lead guitarist and vocalist in my own rock band, I had to admit that I wasn't young and bitchen anymore.

I started collecting Social Security at age 62 and Medicare at age 65. Yep, those are sign posts.

Also, in my 60s, I developed poorer vision. I had to wear readers to see up close, and the DMV said I had to wear glasses to drive.

Now that I'm approaching 70 it's like WTF? How did that happen? It's quite an interesting experience.

I'm blessed to have been married now for over 25 years to a wonderful woman. We both feel content to grow old together and sometimes laugh about it.

I think it was 49 when my hip started to really give me trouble. It was causing my other hip to start to hurt and my back was always sore too. I got it replaced last year but I am still not back to normal and may never be.

@exitseven was it out of the clear blue that it started hurting or did you injure it? I swear, I go to sleep feeling good, and it seems like something happens in my sleep and wake up with something else hurting. It's so weird.

It was a problem for years but got to the acute stage in 2019. I know about what you are talking about. We have the same mattress for almost 20 years. I can see how tired it is just by looking at it. I think maybe a new mattress might help with all the early morning aches and pains.

Mentally I still consider myself young which nowadays people start getting enjoy life in 30s. Physical I would say 25, when I can literally feel tired in a party at maybe 11-12 o’clock, when I getting harder and harder catching my breath in a long jog, when I can no longer eat whatever I want to eat and still maintain my body…. 🥲🥲

For me it's 24. I started spotting grey hair, due to sedentary lifestyle I'm not able to handle extreme outdoor work.

At 45 I still feel like I am in my 20's, but my body reminds me from time to to time... that if I am 22 still then I need to get back into some serious shape! lol

Nah seriously I am still in great shape at 45, and in excellent health and very physically active. But I do feel it more in the muscle acks and pains... but it hasn't slowed me down yet.
