I have always seen it, It's mostly women who pimp other women. Men are the customers or beneficiaries of that system. Even if it's not hardcore prostitution, I have seen women encourage other women to sell themselves.
In friend circles girls who sleep around or manage a high-end lifestyle from their boyfriend's money, encourage other innocent girls to do the same. They show them how much cool stuff their boyfriends are buying for them in exchange for sex. A lot of girls pursue that lifestyle later...
