1. Women of lower value than you usually find you attractive because to them you are of higher value than them... So you might see women you don't find attractive/don't care about being /showing interest in you.

2. Women are attracted to confidence and you are confident around women you don't find attractive because you have nothing to lose with them... If you are around someone you find attractive you are nervous because you don't want to say or do the wrong thing...

If anything women being attracted to confidence is stupid, because it pretty much guarantees they will end up with guys, that don't find them special or attractive in any way.
