The reason why more and more women wear tight workout shorts is to prevent men to "accidentally" see their underwear as you have seen them wearing it.

No woman believes in an "accidental" glance but we are fully conscious that there are perverts out there that make it a goal to try to look specifically whether they underwear or not.

As long as (a number of) men are not capable to keep their hormones under control and have the urge to perv on women, then it will become more frequent that women protect themselves from those perverts by wearing that type of shorts.
