By itself, this isn't enough to say she likes you, it could as simple as she's not letting someone around her roasted like that.
She has to demonstrate she likes you in other ways for this event to have the proper context.
Depends upon the situation... in which way did she speak that?
Honestly you can't be sure. Either she felt pity towards you and wanted to help out the situation or yes she took an interest in you and she just wanted you to notice her.
It could be that she found them annoying (and thought they were making fun of you) so she just stood up for you.

I think she just felt empathy towards you. I wouldn't think much more into it than that honestly.
