She never has anything to say!

I've been talking with this girl for a few weeks now.

I'm always the one making the conversation interesting and fun. When I talk about random things that stimulate conversation she responds and laughs and giggles and talks a little back about the subject.

But if we're just sitting there and I'm not saying anything, her conversation is so horrible! It's about school and asking questions about class or about boring things like that. Why is she like that? Are some people just bad at conversation or is she nervous being around me?

It sounds to me like she doesn't know how to make conversation. School and work is just about the MOST basic conversation starters - it's something talk about if they don't have much in common with you - also reveals a lack of creativity.

Sure she might be nervous around you, but I get the vibe that she's a little dry when it comes to creating conversation. A few weeks of this? If she can't come up with something else after THAT long of knowing you, I'd be worried.

Yea she is definitely not comfortable around you yet, I think she needs way more time. She is shy looks like it, if she is making conversation with you and goes along when you do I don't think she doesn't like you or is trying to not talk to you... If you like her, talk to her about school and make jokes, I really think this will take some time before she is comfortable to joke around like you want her to. I say talk to her, than some days don't and talk again this is going to be a slow process lol if you want to stick with it

It seems like she is nervous around you. If she is constantly laughing at your jokes/comments, then she probably likes you and is scared to mess it up. If you like her, then you need to find a way so that she will open up to you and be more comfortable around you (are there things that you know she likes to do...dancing, picniks, watching/making fun of old horror movies,exc)

she likes dancing and I know what she's all about and she must know what I'm all about because I'm very talkative and outgoing. The problem isn't relating, because we always loosen up and talk and laugh and have fun.

The problem is that if I'm not the one to start the conversation we'll just both be sitting there not saying anything, and she'll try to talk about something horribly boring.

How can I get her more comfortable? I mean it's not like she doesn't know about me

hmmm...it kind of seems like this relationship is kind of a flop then if you guys have known each other and she never has anything to say. But, if she likes to dance then be spontaneous and ask her to dance randomly (it would give her something to talk about). Sometimes silly, funny things can open a person up too. For instance, a friend and me were eating ice cream and he asked me if I wanted to taste the flavor he got and when I did he shoved it in my face (I def. had something to say)

You obviosly don't click, if she is pretty it mght seem like a shame but you should really move on to someone you don't have this issue with, I know it can suck because in the past it has happened to me that I meet a stunningly beautiful girl and miraculously she is as into me as I am into her but the lack of compatability was impossible to surmount, quite imply you can't have a relationship where you can't talk together

Probably a combination of both.

Next time you're with her, play the lying game. You each take turns asking each other questions that aren't y/no questions and you have to answer with the most outrageous lie you can think of.

It will spark her imagination and hopefully get her to losen up.

it's because I'm shy, and if I like someone then it's horrible.

we don't want to say anything wrong, so you could think we are weird or something.

She could be shy, that's usually the reason I have for not making good conversation. School is common ground she knows she can talk about. Also, my mind can go blank and I don't know what to say... she might have the same problem
