Is it acceptable my sober friend tried to beat me up cause I threw my phone at her whilst drunk?

She grabbed me to the floor by the hair got ontop of me started punching kicking hitting me and grabbing her neck and threatening to kill my with her hands around my neck scratching my neck and hitting my face.. like “I will kill you” “I’m gonna kill you”

this is my best friend of 10 years … she hadn’t had any alcohol at all.
apparently I’m playing victim and I’m crazy for telling her she was wrong

That seems like a disproportionate response. It wasn’t fair and it wasn’t right to be so extreme, but you did do something that constituted a physical attack and once that happens things can get out of control.

If someone throws something at me I’m picking it up and throwing it back harder if said person is drunk I’m warning them never to do that again and to watch themselves and they will hear about it tomorrow, but not everyone is like me I guess. I have had drunk friends do that and I never retaliated because I knew how drunk they where

Why no more than two of anything usually I am fine it’s the spirits that mess me up but with that being said I’d be saving myself a hangover anyways. No I haven’t she said she never wants to speak to me again because I threw my phone, I figured going to the police is dumb because i started it
