your girlfriend or wife is late for her period, there are a few reasons,

she’s pregnant, oh shit, but she’s on the pill, yeah shit happens though - it’s now that abortion decision time.

she’s stressed about something, oh and you did not notice, that’s not a great relationship.

It’s a hormonal, weight thing

it’s an indicator of health / medical related issues, not usually a good thing.

I hope you're not serious, but in case you are..

A change in a woman's period can be an indication of something happening.
First, there's the obvious one, pregnancy - which the woman might want to avoid.
Then after that, it can be an indication that something is wrong healthwise, maybe she's stressing, or something worse.
We as women are very conscious of our periods and have to keep track of it, not just to know whether or not we're pregnant.
