What causes landlords to be annoying and nosey?

Even when tenant is quiet keeps to themselves works a lot clean place rent is always on time
I hear them talking about me

So that’s a bad thing I’m just nervous feel to move out

My advice would be to try and find something run by a management company rather than an independent landlord, but renting is wretched all around. Like when I moved here in 2019 my rent was $580 a month; then some new people bought it and bumped it to $600. No big deal, then in the beginning of 2021, they bumped it to $750, which like isn’t horrible, but shit it sucks that this place used to be more affordable just two years ago. And with everything else tightening up
