I think both genders just want someone who is financially stable so they can have a nice life with them that isn't insanely stressful. Personally, I'm not just looking for guys who make tons of money, but it matters to me that they have an education and are looking for a decent job like I am.

I respect that. But would you want a guy who works as an Amazon warehouse worker? You said education so I am assuming your looking for a guy whose probably a nurse or teacher. Or do you want someone in the more lucrative position like doctor, lawyer or engineer?

Nurse or teacher would be fine. Sure a doctor or something would be fine but I wouldn't date them for the money. My boyfriend is training to be an opera singer so that's his profession haha.

Yeah it's great but very loud haha. I think doctors do pay off their debt over time, some come from rich families who pay their fees as well. Most seem to be rich in their 40s and 50s.

It's funny, because when I was younger I would actually date girls for a lengthy period of time before my job even came up in conversation. As I began dating again after my first divorce, the topic came up a lot sooner. I think women want a guy to be financially stable by a certain age but when younger, it seems it's not as important.

I also think a lot of people are very deceptive nowadays and it's hard to tell who is good and who is bad.

Do you mean as far as just having a "fling" and not intending to have a long term relationship? I can agree with that. In that case financial stability isn't important. I've been there. There have been girls I've dated with no intentions of being "serious". I still have no idea what half of them did for a living.

Really? That sounds interesting. I usually hear guys complain about women wanting their money but I don't really believe it. Can you tell me more about these men that ask? Do they expect you to pay for everything?

Yeah, it surprised me too. It happened to me 3 times in messages on dating apps. Everything would start off fine. But it was always the guys asking me questions:

“What are your hobbies?”
“What do you do for a living?”

Then I would respond that “I’m not working at the moment”

And then they would jump at me with more questions like

“What? That doesn’t make any sense given your age.”

“How do you live?”

“How do you get money?”
Etc etc

Of course I would respond that “I don’t talk about money.”

Then guys say “it still doesn’t make any sense. Either way, I’m not looking for a girl to support.”

And that’s how it ends

And this how I think most women think. I don't understand why some guys think women. Only want money. I am sure there are women that use men for money but they are probably the minority. I see more men that try to use me for money than women lol.
