I think one painful childbirth experience is enough.
If childbirth is still painful, why do most of us want to repeat it?
I think one painful childbirth experience is enough.
I believe I read before that something happens in a woman’s brain that kinda make them forget the pain. I don't know if it happens with everybody but it seems it does happen. Maybe the brain gets flooded with so many feel good chemicals after giving birth that the pain is overshadowed and they want to do it again. There isn’t too much research on it but it’s a theory. It makes sense though because wayyyy back women needed to have a lot of kids because most probably died before adulthood so there had to be some mechanism that would persuade women to keep going.
Ah, imagine if every man on earth said stuff like: It's not fun working this job to maintain the power plant. It's not fun fixing the sewage pumps. It's not fun fixing the air conditioning system. It's not fun driving trucks all day, every day to deliver food to the stores. It's not fun building houses from scratch. It's not fun running the factory that makes tampons... and so on.
Would be nice if nobody had responsibilities & everything was just about feeling good and taking it easy all the time, eh?
We're compaing working, producing money, provider and building houses (we have been working for the longest too) to the worst natural physical pain ever.
It's not the same.
Oh, but it's not about the money. It's about why does civilization & societies even exists. It's about thinking about something more than just yourself. I get it tho, most people can't comprehend that when too many people do things that degrade society, society will collapse and that is why society is headed downhill today.
Well I haven’t had kids but when I do I plan on having at least 2 because I don’t want my kid to have to grow up alone, so having a sibling or 2 to play with or have a instant friend when they’re little I think means a lot for their emotional health.
I plan on just having one child. I think one painful experience would be enough for me.
That’s understandable. I was just meaning that I think some women do it because they wanted their child to have a play mate or they enjoyed the experience. From what I’ve read childbirth doesn’t always have to be painful. They can give you anesthesia if your in the hospital or there’s something called like orgasmic childbirth.. also pre-stretching the birthing canal they say can make it less painful.

If one childbirth experience was enough, no one would EVER have kids; it's not exactly a pleasure cruise for the baby, either. People do unpleasant things over again because they forget what it was like- or because they think the results are worth it. Childbirth's not much fun, but you DO get a baby out of it.
Childbirth is completely painless. It's 2022 not 200bc. Women are totslly numb from the nips down during childbirth...
In my option the end result is so worth the pain time and time again
Nature requires we keep the human species going.
Women are crazy lol
Personally I don't understand the point of wanting to experience that pain again. Once is enough.

Actually our traditional female ancestors were gatherers. There was a time, the genders collaborated and helped each other. If he's the one hunting and providing a roof, the least she can do is cook the meal and gather goods for the offsprings.

From a biological point of view, the genders are different and have different purposes. They're not really the same.
