Is there a difference between cute and hot?

Ladies, when you call a guy cute is that the same as calling him hot?

If they are not the same could you please explain (:

I am asking this because I know there is a difference for me when I call a girl cute/pretty/hot/gorgeous/beautiful/lovely

I guess hot is more of a body thing same on girls right?!

I am not english speaking so I am not sure in my language (portuguese) the equvalent to hot is a word like delicious só damm that guy looks hot= delicious yummy so its more on that sense...

I could never tell a guy I think you are hot, only if he was my bf...

But cute is like he is pretty and seems sweet but I guess guys don't like to hear cute right...

But if I am talking to a girl friend I would say there is this guy is so cute I wanna know him better ;)

I seriously dislike the word 'hot'.

Actors that are considered 'hot' do nothing for me.

I'm into cute/pretty-boy type.

I use cute for everything. If I think a guy is kinda good-looking, I will say he's kinda cute. If I think he's really good-looking, I'll say he's really, really, really cute.

So yeah, I don't use the word 'hot' for anything unless I'm describing the temperature.

Cute means so much stuff. It means I want to pounce him and do dirty stuff to him, but it also means I want to cuddle with him and be all cutesy and lovey dovey. Cute and adorable are like the best compliments I can ever give out.

Hot is for someone I'd never do. It's usually for my professors so I'm sure it's not gonna happen. A guy I'm crushing on, I'd never ever call "hot".

Hot=Sexy, I would hit that, You look really really attractive.

Cute=You are Adorable, You are average with a spark, cute means more of a friendly way of sayin someone is attractive..or more than that...because it can include personality.

Beautiful or lovely= Overall appearance and personality.

Gorgeous/Pretty=Look Good, it can mean ooh he looks good dressed up or something.

When I call a guy hot it generally means I think his good looking but don't know him that well, when I call him cute it refers more to his looks including personality (so cute is better) but then again some girls will be like "your so cute" (aka your in friend zone)

No it's not the same, to me when a guy is cute he is datable and probably the type you could take home to your parents.

The hot guy is the dude you are 100% attracted to, but in your head would believe many other girls are too. You would looove to date him but you've already put him on a pedestal that is out of your league and therefore the chances are that is not going to happen.

To me, a guy that is cute has more of a boyish look and is usually comical. A guy that is hot is more physical, meaning that he has a good, athletic body and is like eye candy
