What does it mean if she asked about my recent breakup?

I’m interested in a girl I work with, and she heard me say I recently got out of a relationship. At an after work event, she came over and chatted with me and asked me “so you just got out of a long term relationship?” She also asked me if my ex was in the same city, and when I said no, she asked if we broke up long distance. The convo got interrupted, so it never was picked back up, but wondering if there’s any significance to this?

I didn’t say anything about it being long term (maybe she assumed)? It just felt like a weird thing to engage in conversation over unless she was interested in me?

I don’t know right now what her relationship status is, she may have a boyfriend but unsure

I don’t know if she’s absolutely interested in you based on this interaction alone, but she def sounds curious about you. I’d say you should keep talking with her and see if the vibes show a little more than curious. If it feels like she’s just lending an ear, then don’t worry about too much.

Thank you. She definitely wasn’t lending any ear, it’s never come up again. She’s shown me some other signs and when we first met I just felt this vibe
