The saying itself to me is more man up, bite the bullet; do what you’ve been putting off. Want a raise at work go ask for it take the initiative or prove that you deserve that raise. If there’s a special person you’re interested in; talk to them, ask them out. The worst they can say is no. And yes I realize this is very difficult for guys, it’s difficult for girls too; it’s difficult to deem ourselves worthy of nice things and things that make us happy. (Sorry went off on a bit of a tangent.)
