How come narcissists can't take critcism?

I once had a narcissistic friend who I finally got tired of and one day I just told him he had failed me and then cut ties with him after that. Lol I think that's like the worst thing a narcissist could hear.

Now with that being said, I'm a little quicker to pickup on a narcissist or at least know something is off with them. There's this one girl I was talking to that you couldn't have any type of rational conversation with her because she would assume it was all her fault. I finally got tired of her too from her wasting my time and one day I go what do you even do in your free time for fun? Last I heard of her too. Lol I would always try and arrange fun things for us to do and she would never follow through. It's all about them they only care about their feelings nobody else's.

They care only about Attention whether it be negative or positive. It is the outcome of Self-love. The Selfie generation and the digital means to glorify Self over God has exacerbated Narcissism.

Because they feel they can never be wrong and if you tell them they are wrong, it is an attack.


Typically with personality disorders there is also little to no insight into their behavior.

I got ghosted multiple times by her so I would actually setup a date I never intended to go on because I knew she wasn't going to show anyways. She always wanted to go in my boat so this last time I called her out for not showing. I was like see I told you you wouldn't show you would have asked when and where last night. The boat wasn't even in the water. 🤣 I was just playing her at her own game. She probably agreed to go on the boat 2 or 3 other times and I had it all ready and in the water for her not to come. She's just a physco. We did go on two nice dates and their was definitely a spark but her insecurities and Narc disorder got the best of her.

She never had an excuse she would just pretend the conversation never happened.

Another girl I was talking to did the same thing. This one was even more of a pyscho she would call me up drunk on Saturday nights and talk about her problems with me. Then ignore me the rest of the time. I started ignoring her because she was clearing wasting my time. Then I find out like 6 months later she's all better and engaged to her best guy friend she's known for years or something and now she's all happy and normal. I even called her up and confronted her about it saying i was patient with her knowing she was going through a rough patch and she goes off with some other guy. Wtf? Something tells me he's never seen the side of her I have. Then the boat girl I don't know honestly she was always a bit quirky and I guess I like that in a girl why she would constantly agree on dates she never intended to go on after two good dates I don't know.

Well maybe you should thank the girl who pretended she was into outdoorsy stuff for not wasting your time further. You could have married her and found out later she hates getting dirty, putting her feet in the sand and going camping with the family.

I don't know but she'd usually call me up around 12 or 1am on a Saturday drunk and I got tired of it because she wouldn't go out on a date with me she ghosted me to and also wouldn't tell me where she lived. I mean I knew where she lived city wise, but I had no way to go to her house and comfort her or take her out and make her feel better because she wouldn't give me her address. Then one day she called me asking to borrow $60 and I hadn't heard from her in a while and that pissed me off. I told her I don't even know where she lives! You won't go out with me so why would I lend you $60 I know I won't ever get it back. Then a couple months later I find out she's engaged to her friend.

I don't know.. maybe because you allow them to and you’re forgiving, always giving them a second chance, or maybe because they don’t see long term with you because YOU don’t see them in the long term and they sense that so they’re not so careful to reveal their true colors, especially after calling them out. I have no idea 🤷🏼‍♀️ .

I used to get mad at these girls for wasting my time and my buddy said I was just burning bridges and they'll never come back around doing that. I didn't have high hopes for this girl and didn't spend that much time on her.
