Well they do discard people but they also like knowing they have control. Look, think of them as vampires. A person who has empathy radiates light… they are darkness. The only way they feel power is from stealing someone else’s light. Until you’re completely drained…. But they will once you start doing better come back for more blood.

Narcissists like keeping people on the back burners. This goes for friendships, romantic relationships, and even in the professional world. They keep people that when they need to use someone they can. If they need a fall back plan or a substitute….

The only way you win with a narcissist. Is just not feeding into it… You just disengage and if they refuse to leave you alone you have to take legal action.

It's for their own personal gain. They crave attention and self-fulfillment, and they don't care who they step on to get it. They will often say mean and vindictive things to you to see how you respond. They will humiliate you in public and watch your reactions.

I lived with one for a while. They are dangerous people. The one I lived with was always trying to have me arrested, and before the end, tried to murder me.

Be careful around these people. They don't care about you. It's all about them.

Narcissists need people to have intense emotional reactions that they can manipulate. It's like food to them.
