My friends with benefits is always saying “must be nice?”?

I’ve had a friends with benefits on and off for almost a year. We have gotten super close over the course of a year.

My friends with benefits knows i have a gay male best friend. I post my friend a lot and also talk about my friend a lot.

Sometimes though my friends with benefits asks me questions about him. Like for example i took my gale male friend out for his birthday and posted it on social media..

So my friends with benefits will bring up the post and says things like “i saw on Facebook you took your gay friend out , where did y’all go?”

So I answered and told him i took him to the movies a nice restaurant because it was his birthday and my friends with benefits will reply with things like “it must be nice to get that treatment. You guys have a good bond.

Or when i bought my gay male best friend a Valentine’s Day gift he said the same thing “must be nice “ etc…

What does “must be nice” in this aspect mean

Means he's wasting his time in a shallow relationship, just like you are, but he wishes he had someone he could take seriously who would do the same for him. Well he may not be conscious of the fact he's wasting his time but that's why he doesn't have a woman who takes him seriously.

Sounds like he wants the same treatment too.

But he needs to realize that "boys" in friends with benefits situations aren't close enough to get that kind of treatment. My suggestion is to tell him "Better put a ring on it." or something close to that.

Try asking him. Would you like to be treated that way sometime. And if he says must be nice. That means yes.
