Unfortunately I have seen most of the time a relationship working out only if the guy is more interested than the girl. Especially at the beginning.

When a girl is more interested than the guy, the guy takes advantage, gets what he wants out of her, and ditches her.

I have texted first before. It has never gone anywhere because the interest would be one sided.

So I prefer when a guy texts first.
