I feel like I always mess everything up. I always make the wrong decision. I do the wrong things when I want so much to be better. I can't go to a psychologist. Can I solve this on my own?
yes you can, there are tricks for things to do, try to look outwards a little more, read books, stories about people whove faced adversity and pushed through (david goggins - can't hurt me, is good), try not to second guess yourself too much, listen to your intuition (the psychology of intuition is amazing!) focus on the positives, times where you made the right decisions or things turned out well. try to build some kind of method where you rely on decision making principles rather than a process (I mean having a similar seris of principles that you mentally run through when coming to an important decision as opposed to a rigid decision making process) this will help you make more consistent choices and usually lead to a happier outcome.
you can be the person you want to be, it might mean making some changes and getting some things in life under a little better control, possibly dropping off some friends and making new ones, but you can do it!
