She is a role model for girls but I don't know what guys think of her.

Before you say she was fat, she has an hourglass shape something like 35-22-25 (every place I look it says an inch off but those are approx. her measurements.)

So do you think she was hot?

The hourglass shape was adored in the 50's. Now the media likes those boyish Ruler type body shapes that look boyish.

1) A person can be thin and an hourglass or fat and an hourglass, so by some people's standards, because she was a size 12, she may be considered fat. 12 is huge to me, but that's me

2) No need to insult the ruler body type to get the answers you want. Women can't help if they have curves or not

I have an hourglass and it's whatever. If I ever try to show off my curves, then girls assume I'm a slut, so I dress modestly because of them.

A size 12 then is a size 6 today, manufacturers are making the smaller sizes bigger because people are generally fatter now. Trust me I go to fashion school and all the professors there have told us about that. The ruler shape I am not insulting if it is natural but I do blame the fashion industry for making women become super skinny.

You seemed to not read that I don't mind if it's natural to have the ruler/banana shape but when girls have to eat under 500 calories a day to keep that anorexic figure, it looks disgusting. The media and fashion industry push for that.

As for the sizes thing, those manufacturers want to sell. Making the smaller sizes bigger psychologically makes the customer feel better.

I never understood her appeal... For her time she was "hot" and admired, but times are much different now, as are trends, and what is "stylish".

I love the look of a modern woman, but I find more, "old-fashioned" values/morals to be more attractive, in terms of looking beyond the surface...

Yes it is, it's actually slimmer than an hourglass. The "Ideal" hourglass measurements are 36-24-36. The bust and hips same measurement, waist 12 inches less.

It doesn't matter if it's not the 36-24-36, if the bust/hips are the same and waist 12 inches less, it's an hourglass

Your waist has to be at least 75% smaller than you bust and hips, to be an hourglass. The minimum requirement is that your waist must be 10 inches smaller than your bust and hips. Twelve inches is smaller and more noticeable.

Also that was a typo about the hips, the 2 is next the 3.
