I personally think this stuff is cool and will be turning my placenta into pills and will do the art as well.
What do you guys think? Is this cool or gross?
It has been proven to have its benefits. I think I read somewhere that humans are the only mammals who do not eat their own placenta. As long as it is in pill form I can take it just don't cook a whole placenta and feed me lunch I could never do that seems gross to me.

I definitely agree. It's sad so many people are mom shaming this. Even if they think it's gross why would they care if a mom eats it? And I'm sure almost nobody here has done any research on placenta eating/pills

Some animals eat the placenta after giving birth. It's a dense source of nutrition. Having said that, when an animal does this, it is very fresh and safe to eat. I'm skeptical about the safety of meat that have been stored at room temperature though. I'm not a fan of Sodium Nitrite as a preservative either.
Anything goes with art. Nothing wrong with personal expression about things you care about.
I think there is something seriously wrong with them! There is NO WAY that (in the least) would not be considered cannibalism! No she’s not eating the baby, but I love liver! And in humans, if you surgically remove a lobe of the liver… it grows back! So if I just eat human liver am I now NOT a cannibal? OF COURSE I WOULD BE!
And so is anyone who eats part of a woman's body, even after she’s given birth! That was an organ in the woman's body that allowed for the exchange of oxygen and CO2, and passes nutrients to the baby. How could you eat a human organ?
We thought about bringing the placenta home before our first was born but right after the birth when we saw the afterbirth, it just did not look appealing. It looked like a used up liver. But turning it into art would be a pretty cool idea. I just can’t imagine eating it. It already looked pretty used up.
Yeah, that was a while ago for me too. Now that I’ve changed hundreds of diapers, it would probably look pretty cool now. 🤣
I do for sure support the art of it and all and i guess that if she wasn’t a to do pills then I can’t really complain but like that’s like a part of her own body…. I mean I guess I just don’t get it.

I would check out medical nay-sayers and make an informed decision. Eating the placenta is not backed by science, at least for humans, and part of the reason animals do it is to avoid attracting predators.
Oh, and placenta art is whatever. Doesn't matter to me as long as it's not immorally obtained.

I've heard of women having a placenta smoothie after giving birth. Apparently, you can't really taste it, but I doubt I'd want to do anything like that with my placenta. 😂

To be honest I think it is disgusting and disturbing for someone to eat their own placenta… a placenta is made mainly of blood vessels and eating it has high risks of getting a virus or bacteria… me personally I think its just unnatural and unless you’re a animal warding off predators you should not eat your placenta… imagine eating one of your own organs… EVEN AS A SMOOTHIE…

I don’t think it’s kosher or fit for eating in Jainism and other faiths, but yes, art is very creative. Waste not, want not! No doubt it has some nutrients, but the diet should not have placenta as a significant element.
You're not a dog, you don't need to eat your placenta. The art thing is cool if it's just paint, like a print using the placenta. If it's the actual placenta hanging in the wall then that's weird.
They need to be shot and/or sectioned before being allowed near any child again.

Thirdly, I may not have cancer, that doesn't mean I think cancer treatment is stupid because it has no benefits to me. That's because it's been scientifically proven to work.
