Girl's Behavior

What is the most obvious sign that someone has strong feelings but is fighting it? ( for girls and for guys)?

Let's pretend, for context, up until this point they have been coming on strong. Touching, whispering naughty nothings and wanting to be close to you. This is a sudden change in their behavior that you are trying to figure out.

They notice you enter the room. They won't make eye contact, instead talking to everyone else almost intentionally ignoring you. They walk past you, intentionally not meeting your gaze.
When they do make eye contact, its very brief. They won't look into your eyes for long periods of time.
When they do pay attention to you, they tease you relentlessly. Making jokes at your expense.
When you talk to someone else in the room or when you walk by them, you feel their eyes on you. They go quiet when you talk to others in attempts to hear what you are saying.
What was once lots of touching and flirting has stopped. They are making more of an effort not to touch you or be too close to you when others are around. No flirty words pass from their lips, no sideway glances.
