Why is it okay to hit boys and almost illegal to hit girls?

Well it's not ok to hit anyone, exception either during sports (sparring), in bed or in legitimate self-defense.

Maybe you're wondering why boys hitting girls is treated more seriously than vice-versa. Instead of using opposite genders, I'll use the same genders. It usually has to do with strength and the capacity of causing major damage if you used 100% full force. If a large professional wrestler hits you then it'll probably cause more damage than if an average Joe hits him. Obviously there are exceptions to all rules but that's just how it's in general.

Another real life example I'll admit:
My 20 year-old brother is a weak average Joe that I can still beat even in arm wrestling. If I hit him (into Judo for 8 months now), then I can really hurt him badly. If he hits me, it would actually feel like a 12 year-old hitting me, lame.

Unfortunately, in this world, men are treated as second class citizens. The world is gynocentric. It's unfair we cannot even adequately defend ourselves against women aggression, and yes, domestic violence where a woman is the aggressor exists, I witnessed it.

Assault is illegal regardless of gender. It is just harder to enforce when there is no evidence and injury tends to be the best evidence. But because men are stronger on average, when men hit women it is more likely to result in injury.
