Why is this girl always nitpicking at me?

There is this girl in my friendship group who is nitpicking at me unnecessarily and endlessly teases me. I don’t mind it but sometimes it can get annoying especially when I am in a bad mood, I never give her the reaction she wants but I just want to know why do some girls just endlessly nitpick at a guy? Also have any of guys experienced this with a girl before?

Either she has a softspot for you/crush on you, or it's a more maternal thing and she wants you to do things that will make you more desirable to other women.

Seriously, women friends are going to help you get laid. Take their advice seriously.

It could be that it is just how she is, but your none reaction to her nitpicking and teasing is driving her nuts, especially if she is used to men responding to her positively, but watch your back as this type of women will continue to escalate.
Try telling her politely but firmly when your friendship group is a round to leave you alone and you are not interested, if you do it when the friendship group is a round then they all know how you feel.
