Sex shouldn't even be a factor here. Anyone who hits someone else first (initiates the physical altercation), regardless of the sex of either person, is wrong.

However, anyone who hits back at someone who started a physical fight with them, regardless of the sex of either person, is justified.

I will also add that anyone who picks a fight with a bigger and stronger person, regardless of the sex of either person, is an idiot and deserves to get their ass kicked.

The only sexism in any of this is the fact that sex is considered by many to be a factor at all.

I think these days it would be sexist to not hit a girl since they want equality so much, even if they already have so many more benefits compared to males.

Also I don't condone violence, I'm just saying that seems more to be the appropriate answer for these times but females will say you should never hit a woman because they only want equality that benefits them.

I don't think it's secret either way. For example if a guy is threatening her safety, she would be in her right to hit him. The same does for a man if a woman is threatening his safety. I do think there should be limits though. The fact is, if a 5'9 man hits a 5'5 woman with all he's got, it's probably going to hurt her a lot more than what she could do to him. If the situation calls for it, it doesn't matter what gender you are, if you deserve to get hit, you're going to get hit.

Sexism is discrimination on the basis of sex. Saying that because someone is female, you can't hit them is EXACTLY sexism.
