Why would a girl suddenly start talking to you?

Context:

I'm referring those times where you're just minding your own business and suddenly a girl just starts to have a conversation with you and be a little playful and/or keep the conversation going (and not just for small talk).

Some women that I've meet suddenly just started to talk to me, I've seen them around a couple of times on some places that I've had to be. All of them eventually come to me to start with some simple small talk until the following days they'll have more conversation and most of them will do it on a welcoming and happy tone, it's becomes unusual.

So does she want sex with you or does she want a male friend is I think the underlying question? It could be either if she suddenly starts talking to you. If she is a lot younger she could just think you are safe.

The question then becomes would you like her as a friend or do you want to shag her?

I think the longer you delay physical contact with a girl the more awkward it becomes. I'm not saying to go for a breast squeeze but it is fairly easy to tap a hand or shoulder when she says something funny in acknowledgement as you are laughing.

In any event I find that girls are pretty quick to drag their boyfriend into the conversation if they are only interested in talking to you eg "Oh my boyfriend loves football too" - that sort of stuff.

So I would say if she is not cringing from your touch and has not mentioned a boyfriend yet then she probably wants to shag you. You could put past gfs into the convo "Oh an ex girlfriend liked something-she-just-said-she-likes". Or just ask her if she is single and would like to go out. Just depends on how direct and immediate you feel you can be or want to be. In some social circumstances it might be better to be indirect.
