The only time a guy under 40 can be friends with a woman is if he's already romantically involved with someone else and isn't looking for additional sexual encounters. When you're younger and still looking, being fz'd resulting from a rejection to have something more is too big a blow to the ego of most guys.

Yeah this girl , knows i check off all the boxes she wants in a guy. She literally agreed when i said so. Her female friends would even approve of me.

Well here's the deal, and trust me on this, it's true. When a girl creates a "box list" and tells other people about it, whether it's guys or her girlfriends, she's never telling you what ALL the boxes are. In part, that's because she doesn't know herself, but it's mostly because there's that "X factor" that you can't put into words. Call it a deep attractive, or that "je nais se qua", or that thing you can't put into words. If THAT doesn't click inside her brain, heart, spirit, soul, etc., then it doesn't matter if you check all the other boxes, and she admits that you do.

The other consideration is that she's simply afraid of a real relationship with ANYONE, so saying "we're buddies" to whomever is a safe way out. It also allows her to tell herself "oh yes, I'm looking and I'm open, but I just haven't found it yet". How old is this girl?

23. So old enough , and yes she calls me buddy i can basically do anything with her but ask to move on to the next level. I think i am indeed the safe way out she canceled plans with her niece the day she told me im nkt gonna be more thsn a buddy cause she was afraid she lost me thanks to that now 2 weeks later i asked her to give some space cause she allready found a daye she barely knows but had good vibes.

Everytime i want more than friendship from a girl i get told no. And they complain to me about the guys they do date. Im done pretending like its okay to be a buddy when i want more.
