What is your definition of a bad boy though? When I was younger, I was only into bad boys, but it was mainly because I read a lot of Wattpad novels which revolved around the same bad boy/good girl trope.. and you can bet that I was and still am, the good girl lmao. These novels were sort of my escape from reality and I thought it would be fun and exciting to date a guy I could “fix”… someone who is closed off with everyone but goofy and cute only with me, but I was stupid and young.

Even now, minus the shitty personality and the hot and cold behavior, I like men who are confident, charismatic, and wear all black clothing. Most girls, usually the sheltered ones go after these boys because they’re naive. They think they can “fix” these guys, and these guys aren’t so innocent themselves. Most are clever manipulators who know how to sweet talk girls into having sex with them. And of course, as you’ve mentioned, some want fun as well. They like the danger that comes with it. They’re the kind of boys that your mum would warn you against and what’s more fun than breaking all the rules?

Non sequitur- one doesn't follow the other/ they're not connected. Why would women being attracted to certain features in men (aggression, dangerous tendencies, etc.) be linked to a general social taboo against them being promiscuous.

If you claimed bad boys were less likely to tell society the women they've slept with; so, women could more easily avoid social repercussions, that would at least make sense... It's not true, they definitely do "kiss and tell."

No I think girls like bad boys because of their attitude. Bad boys don´t care if they break the rule they just do it. They don´t care if girls are angry with them because they know how to talk to a girl and show her a confident attitude.
They have ambition and are willing to take risks. Plus they know what they want and are confident. All those character traits are traditionally manly.

I believe that it's more that they're "excited" by the prospect of being around a "bad boy" and adventure associated with it.
Many have difficulty discerning difference between "excitement" and "love."
