Hey guys. I hope you’re doing well. So my situation- I met a guy in my class at college. He’s very shy, when our professor calls out to him he hesitates and is quiet. I noticed him looking at me & he finally spoke to me by asking me a random question. We then spoke as we were part of a group. He asked me what my name was & it was nice meeting me. I admit, I think he’s really cute so I was open to talking with him. Eventually we walked out of class together and as we were going separate ways he asked me if I’d like to exchange emails. I said you’d like my email? He said he didn’t want to come on too strong. I said it’s fine we can exchange numbers as I communicate mainly via text so I give him my phone and he input his number. I texted him saying it’s me with my name and NO RESPONSE. I’m confused as to why he would never respond. Did I read the situation wrong, or is he not interested or what? Thanks for your input guys

He is shy and probably had no or little experience with flirting. Just take the initiative yourself and don't feel turned down to quickly without knowing for sure!

I tell you this because guys can be very shy aswell! I'm shy myself so it always helps when a girl isn't afraid to make a move on me if she likes me.

If he asked for your email that means he wants to have contact with you! So even if he didn't replied... just go see him and talk to him in person

Thanks for your input. Could shyness be the reason for not responding? But okay I’ll just wait to say hi to him in class :) i felt different though with the no response

yes could be the reason for not responding. Insecurity can be difficult to overcome for some people

I would read that as he is interested but has low self confidence so feels he will mess up when talking to you so he decided to avoid you so he doesn't feel stupid.

how can we tell you how he feels, just ask him outright and you will have your answer, hopefully, the one you are looking for.
